A means to an end. Getting home.

I think it could work.

No, we aren't. It's a bit of a relief. Even if not all of us are doing it the same way.
strove: (shit - talk of homes is very deep)

If we don't tend to involve them in anything bigger that we're doing, it'll remain a relief. They'll cover some of what we can't.

But it's why I've gained a couple allies.

["Friends," but being Clarke, she has that weird line between friendship and alliances that always gets tangled up quicker than she ever really acknowledges.]

I'm planning on it.

The two of them ... they're nothing like ALIE. I think they're closer to what Becca had been hoping for ALIE 2.0. Before it began to absorb consciousnesses. Ready to evolve alongside us, in their own ways.

I told them about the Flame. It seemed relevant to their situation.

[That's not said lightly, nor was it shared lightly. Telling Bellamy is what makes that fully sink in, even though it did that day when they pledged to help her no matter what.

And that's the thing.

Do they know who they're helping?]

[The good news is that she doesn't have the technical know-how to fully explain it. Unlike Raven, she didn't get to keep anything on her trip out of the City of Light.]

I do.

Everything we do here has to begin with what's possible. Becca's technology and creations are closer to what this world can actually manage.

[Though she knows it's a big thing.]

If it's possible for us, it'll give them an idea of where to look.

As much as I hate to say it ... you, me, and Murphy? We can't do this on our own. Not that Murphy's keen to be along for the ride.
strove: (huff huff huff let's bring it in)

I said something to someone earlier on. She took it a very different way than I meant it, but I think I may have had a point. This was here, by the way.

I said that we were all in this together. If this was the dropship, this would be a lot easier for us. Things were simpler back then.

They aren't now.

For the record, she somehow took that to mean that we owed Gaby's friends. Obviously I don't agree with that.

[In fact, it's a thought process that puts her at odds with Rey now.]

Thanks, by the way. For trying to get Murphy to see things the way we do.

[The only simple part is that Murphy is difficult, and that she can trust Bellamy completely. At least there's that. The expected outcomes.]
strove: (unless Wes would forget to bring it out)

I agree.

But the more people who can help us until we make up our minds on that, the better.

[It's more ruthless than she knows Bellamy to be, but they don't know these people. Aside from her ties to the androids, nothing is set in stone.]
